Special Olympics Opening Eyes Program
TAOP is excited to offer the Special Olympics Opening Eyes Program, part of the Healthy Athletes' initiative for Special Olympics athletes to this year's 2012 summer games. This uplifting and rewarding event will provide an invaluable learning experience, enabling you to acquire and develop skills for examining special needs populations. This will be the 14th year that TAOP has participated in this very important program and we need your help. The Opening Eyes Program, funded in conjunction with Lions Club International and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians will be held at the Rob Roy Purdy Field at Vanderbilt University, on May 19th. The event starts at 9:00am and runs to 3:00pm CST and we ask all volunteers to come for orientation at 8:00am CST. Please consider volunteering your time, this a volunteer driven event and without your help this event would not be possible. Click here for additional information and to volunteer.
